Description
Rochester Pean Forceps used in general surgery for clamping larger tissue and vessels for hemostasis.The serrated jaws prevent vessels from slipping through the hemostat. Pean forceps are available either curved or straight with fully serrated jaws.The ratchet mechanism locks the instrument securing the structure picked up by the forceps.
It is ideally used on tough structures like palms, soles or scalp. It may be picked up by the surgeon to hold ribs during rib resection.
